Hi. This is Stephen from TheDVCC.com and today, I am going to be answering a question about jet lag.
Exercising – The Secret Remedy for Jet Lag
So all you guys, you are going off on business trips and far away to different time zones and then suffering from jet lag. One of the most efficient ways of actually helping you get over that is through exercise.
How Exercise Makes Your Body Adapt Quickly
Now I know obviously I am a little bit biased towards exercise but studies actually show that if you would try and exercise at the equivalent time of day in your new time zone, then your body adapts to that time zone much more quickly. So for example, if back in the UK, you train at 8:00 am every morning, then say, for example, you are on the West Coast of America, as soon as you are in America and it becomes 8:00 a.m., you really want to try and work out at that exact same time. Your body then will adapt to your new time zone that much more quickly.
Additional Tips To Getting Over Jet Lag
Now obviously staying hydrated and things like are very important, trying not to over eat the plane food, too much alcohol and things like that will have an impact. However when you are actually in your new country or in fact when you are actually back in to the UK, then making sure that you are trying to exercise at the exact same time that normally do is really, really efficient strategy to try and get over your jet lag as quickly as possible. I have done it. It actually worked very, very well despite actually going to the West Coast of America actually normally really, really negatively affect me but last year I tried making sure that I exercise at the exact same time and it really did have an impact.
So I urge you to try it and let me know the results.
