I joined the DVCC Northampton in January 2015 for a 6 week body transformation programme.
My plan was to suffer, hate it, lose a few pounds and leave.
It didn’t work out that way, though.
I enjoyed the sessions, had better results than I had imagined and the benefits to my work/life balance, diet, sleep and overall well-being were too great to give up.
The things that make the DVCC work for me are; booking sessions in advance, the structured support from the transformation experts and the peer support from the other clients – Team Northampton.
The process is a little bit addictive. Far from suffering or hating exercise, I train at the DVCC 5 or 6 times a week. I book sessions to fit in with my work and social life (and sometimes the other way round) and I’ve never cancelled a session or not turned up because I haven’t felt like it.
I lost 13 lbs of fat and gained 5 lbs of lean weight during the first 6 weeks. By the end of my first year I’d lost 22 lbs of fat.
I joined the lean muscle building programme in February 2016. Since January 2015, I have gained 11 lbs of lean weight and my body fat percentage is down 12.8% from 25.8% to 13%.
The 32” waist trousers I was struggling to fasten up have been replaced by 28” waist trousers and shirts that used to gape open around my stomach are now only tight across my chest.
