Fruits Contain a Naturally-Occurring Sugar Called Fructose
In today’s video, I’m going to give you a bit of help regarding fruit. So, lots of people come to me and they say, “I’m eating very healthy. I’m having loads of fruit each day, and I’m just not losing weight.” So, the thing with fruit is it contains fructose, which is sugar. It might be a naturally-occurring sugar, but it is still sugar, and you can have too much of it.
Reduce the Amount of Fruit You Eat to Lose Weight
So, if you’re trying to lose fat, you want to reduce the amount or limit the amount of fructose you’re having, the amount of fruit that you’re having a day to kind of about 25 grams a day because this is going to help with your fat loss. And in fact, if you actually want to be healthy, you want to be having a little amount of fruit each day because, like I say, it contains fructose and fructose is a sugar, and too much sugar is bad for your health, but also, very bad for your fat loss efforts.
Fruits Prevent You From Losing Weight: A Contentious Issue
Now, I’d love to hear your comments on this because it’s kind of a contentious issue. People think that eating fruit is healthy, and it is to a point, and there are better choices such as berries. Berries are much better than say a banana. But, as with everything, you can’t have too much of it because of the fructose within the fruit. So, let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your comments.
