Good progress is slow progress

Some of the most impressive transformations we have ever seen have been years in the making.

Why?

Lasting change takes time. If you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you guessed it, you tend to put it back on fast too. You may have experienced this yourself!? On top of this, it takes time (a lot of time) to build a good foundation of muscle. This foundation is vitally important for your overall physique AND performance, especially as you get older.

Maintaining this muscle mass and a relatively lean physique can be the secret to looking great for years to come, but without the patience to build it, it'll never happen. 

What does this mean for you?

Be compassionate to yourself!

Despite the hard work that is undeniably needed to build a good physique, you don't need to write off the next 5 years of your life in favour of the gym. You can continue make progress and still choose spending time with your children over the gym every now and then. Find a balance that works for you. Find a balance that allows you to live the most life, but maintains a trajectory towards the healthiest, happiest version of you.
