Olive oil is a very healthy oil. It contains a lot of beneficial compounds and different benefits but the problem with cooking with it is it has a low "smoking point", which means it will lose all of those excellent properties when you heat it.

Infact, some of those healthy properties can essentially flip and become not so healthy by heating it to a higher temperature than you should.

The way to use olive oil is to only put it on to cold foods, salads and dipping breads (joke!).

A better oil to cook with, which has a high "smoking point", (which means it won't lose its beneficial compounds), is Coconut Oil.

You can cook with Coconut Oil and not worry that it's going to lose all it's health benefits.
