Why Should I Use Protein Shakes

Many people believe that using protein shakes is only for those who want to gain extreme muscle mass.

While very good for building muscle whey protein is also a great supplement for those who want to positively alter their body composition.

When the body digests protein it provides a high level of thermogenesis. Thermogenesis is the "energy cos"t of digesting and metabolising food.

Protein provides the greatest thermogenesis, and whey protein (the most common form of protein found in a protein shake) is superior to other forms of protein like casien or soy for elevating the thermic effect.

Supplementing with a whey protein shake after a work out can improve insulin sensitivity which helps to support body composition.

For the best fat loss results use whey protein once per day post  (after) work out.
