Today we have a question from Jean.

What is the latest time in the evening I should eat for fat loss.

Ideally you don't want to have a very heavy meal before you go to bed.Going to sleep on a full stomach isn't comfortable or particularly healthy because you need to give your stomach time to digest your food.

There is a lot of information that states that you shouldn't eat late in the evening because your body won't have time to burn it off. This is a myth. Eating late in the evening is ok providing as I mentioned its not a heavy meal right before you sleep or you are eating the right types of food.

What you don't want to be eating in the late evening, unless its a planned cheat meal is carbohydrates. Eating some protein and natural fat and vegetables before bed will give you all the nutrients that you need during sleep to do the nessicary repair work after a training session.

If you are hungry in the evening I would suggest that you do eat something because if you don't your metabolism may slow down. Something like a small salad and nuts, a protein shake or some scrambled eggs would be a good choice.

This is Nathan from the DVCC, have a great day.
