“Having my hip replacement has been completely life-changing for me!” - Vicky's journey at DVCC

At just 33, Vicky has already had a full hip replacement.

As a child, she suffered from a rare disease called Perthes, which led to her right hip joint cutting off its blood supply and it began to crumble away.

This not only caused a lot of pain for Vicky, but also led to multiple surgeries, leaving her on crutches for 3 years and as an adult, she developed early osteoarthritis…

…But fast forward to now though and you’d never be able to tell!

Vicky’s hip replacement has allowed her to gain a whole new lease on life and allowed her to get back to the sport and active lifestyle she loves.

“I just feel like myself again!"

Vicky knew she needed somewhere where she was able to train, be supported without risk of injuring herself any further. By having a personal trainer, we are able to adapt every single exercise that twinges her hip, or causes any discomfort for her, so she is still always improving and getting better!

“For me, it’s all about lifestyle and supporting my body as much as I can!”

What an inspiration!
