"After 4 months of eating better and coming here, the doctors informed me my bloods are back to normal and I'm no longer pre-diabetic"

I've worked in construction my whole life.

Predominantly in London on big lifting projects...

I most recently worked on the newest Tottenham stadium.

I work mainly with cranes, so it involves being on your feet all day.

November 2020 I joined.. I went to the doctors and had blood tests and they said I was pre diabetic...
I thought, I've got to do something.

They said, if I carry on down this road, I'll be diabetic and this could cause further issues.

This was a kick up the bum for me. I started getting educating on food and diabetes, but wanted something more...

I went to The DVCC for my trial, and I'm not going to lie it was tough. But I work well off a challenge.
With normal gyms, it's up to you how hard you work. But here, the trainers see and watch you, and they push you. But not only that, support you.

I like the push and I like the drive!

The small group suits me at the moment.. my fitness levels are coming up and I really enjoy this.
I walk out the door and I'm knackered and that's where I want to be.

After 4 months of eating better and coming here, the doctors informed me my bloods are back to normal and I'm no longer pre-diabetic.

My shoulders are bigger. I feel tighter. It's good.

There's always been lots of commitments in my life and it's the same with many other people, so it's easy to find yourself sitting in the chair at the end of the day....

But I'm accountable here. I book in and it makes me go.

I haven't met anyone here that's not easy to get on with. We're all here for the same reason!"
