We all lead hectic lives and it is incredibly easy for family, work and general life to get in the way of your own happiness.

Following knee replacement surgery, Sherrill felt the same and after gaining some unwanted weight, she wanted to give herself something back.

But, like many of us, she was completely phobic of the idea of going to a traditional gym, she would join up and never go again. By instead surrounding herself with like-minded people of similar stories, she instantly felt at ease.

Sherrill has now managed to rediscover her confidence and has got her life back again!

“I’d gained a lot of weight after replacement knee surgery, three years ago, for 2 years I’d been limping around.

Just being overweight was not comfortable.

I just used to be completely phobic about going to a gym, so I stayed away, I joined up and never went.

I found the welcome here so significant and seeing other people of a similar age range, similar weight issues, I didn’t feel like I was trying to break into something that I didn’t already feel a part of”

I’d been a failed gym member all my life - I felt it was time to give me a bit back.”
