Hi my name is Rob and I'm 48 years old. I joined about two and a half years ago. I had put on an awful lot of weight and I was in a particularly bad place in my life at the time I'd had some personal losses etc.

I had gone on a bit of a downward spiral and I had bloated to the biggest I had ever been and I needed to do something.

I played rugby for a number of years, up until 5/6 years before this and I've been a member of a gym - which I'd go sporadically and then ease off. What I liked about this is it had a different outlook on things and it is semi-personal.

You book an appointment which gives you a drive to go there otherwise you'd have to cancel an appointment. When I first came, I lost over 4 and a half stone within 7 months. It was fantastic.

Since then, some of the weight has crept back on but the main reason being was I broke my ankle quite badly so I've had 7 months off. A lot of weight has crept back on, but these guys since I have broke my ankle have been fantastic.

When I did come back from rehab the extra work they've done, tailoring things just for me has been fantastic. So hopefully now, the weight will start coming back off.

Something that made me feel great was fitting back into a motorcycle jacket that I haven't been able to fit in for years and the summer before last, I fitted back into that and that was a goal that we set here I fit into it comfortably so that was the goal for me.

It's so different. Not just the exercises you do which are different, also the people. The people here are all of a similar mindset. It's not like a normal gym were you get the gym monkeys there, who are grunting and groaning, people who look at you a bit funny.

I mean I am a big fella myself, people look at you. Here there's none of that, there's all shapes and sizes here. Everyone is pushed, because of the type of training, everyone works as hard as anyone else, regardless of your fitness levels. So in essence, it makes it a level playing field, which you don't normally get in a gym.

I would recommend to anybody for the atmosphere, for the regime itself, for the nutrition side of it that they help with and the staff, the staff here are great.
