Is Your Bedroom Sabotaging Your Weight Loss?

Did you know that exposure to light doesn't just mess with your sleep; It may also result in extra pounds!


Recent medical research has shown that ladies who have a higher amount of light present in their bedroom, have a higher BMI (body mass index), waist to hip ratios and also waist to height ratios. 

In fact the more light present the heavier the person. This goes along with what we have been saying at DVCC for a long time, as vital hormones (for weight loss especially) are not produced correctly when your body is exposed to light at night.

And don't go thinking that just because you shut your eyes, and can sleep through the sun shining that it doesn't affect you. Your skin can actually perceive light!

DVCC Tip: Make sure you have blackout blinds in your bedroom, and turn off all electronics at the wall. Even the small standby indicators can affect your sleep!
