Don't let Easter undo your results!

It’s no secret that Easter and chocolate to go hand in hand and around this time of year, even with the isolation period in place, things can get especially difficult when it comes to healthy eating and falling into the temptation of easter fun.

Here are a few quick hacks to prevent you from losing all of your hard earned results!

KEEP A LOOK OUT

Firstly, it is important to note that it isn’t a coincidence that many people struggle with their results around Easter time.

Supermarkets, shops and food manufacturers are all well aware that Easter is one of the biggest times of year for chocolate sales and so the advertising and promotion of chocolate products goes through the roof.

If you are
able to see through these aggressive marketing tactics though, you are far less likely to crack (no egg puns intended…) and realise that perhaps this time, you don't need to get yourself a chocolate egg.

MODERATION IS KEY

We are definitely not saying don’t go out and enjoy yourself over the easter weekend though! Eating chocolate is totally fine, BUT you need to ask yourself, can you stop at just a little?

As for many of us we've now got more time at home than ever before, it's easy to fall into less beneficial snacking habits.

We’ve all done it, said to ourselves “I’ll just have a nibble” and before we know it, that entire egg is gone… If you struggle with controlling how much you might be chocolate eating, it might be better to simply try to avoid it all together to prevent a trigger to binge eating.

LOOK FOR HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES

Another great way to help stay ahead is to always have a healthy snack handy. By always having something like a piece of fruit or popcorn with you, these will be able to satisfy your snacking needs without the added calories! That way, even when you are offered treats, you will already have a healthy backup on hand!

Happy Easter!
