How Often Should I Have a Cheat Meal?

This question is usually followed by "will it affect my weight loss?"… The answer is YES!

You will LOSE weight faster if you have a cheat meal every 4-6 days.

The reason behind this is that it increases metabolism, allowing you to burn fat faster.

The ideal ratio of "clean" meals to "cheat" meals is 20:1, so if you are eating 5 low carb meals per day you should have a cheat meal on the 4-6th day.

The cheat should preferably be the last meal of the day.

Deciding on what you are going to have in advance will give you something to look forward to if you don't enjoy eating low carb.

When eating a cheat meal always try to aim to eat protein first as this will help you to reduce the blood sugar spike that comes after eating a lot of carbohydrates...But enjoy yourself!
