Matthew:  Hello, this is Matthew from the DVCC and I am here with Kieran Davies. I’m just going to ask you a few questions, hopefully to get an insight into how you got such great results. So if you could please introduce yourself Kieran, and tell us how long you have been at the DVCC?

Kieran:  I’m Kieran and I’ve been at the DVCC for about 7 weeks now.

Matthew: Good; so if you could just tell me what have been any difficulties that you have had, because I am sure there are literally thousands of people like yourself who have been in the same as you were.

Kieran:  Probably the starting off with the first two weeks, changing your nutrition from having not healthy stuff straight to healthy stuff; and that was difficult because obviously you’re not used to eating the same foods; and I just felt like it was easier to stick to the same meal, the same routine every day, and then you don’t think about it as much. You have just got to think about when your next reset meal is, to help you through.

Matthew:  Brilliant, perfect. So Kieran, can you just explain to me what results you have achieved please?

Kieran:   I *lost 16.5 lbs of fat and put on 2.4 lbs of muscle in my first 5 weeks.

Matthew:   Awesome, good work from you dude. So what were your struggles with weight *loss before joining the DVCC?

Kieran:   Just commitment I think. I exercised enough, I just didn’t have the commitment just to stick to it; but once you see everybody else, see the pictures on the walls and everyone else is going through the same thing; it just gives you a bit more motivation to stick to the nutrition.

Matthew:   Awesome. So you tried *losing weight before; what were your struggles with weight *loss before the DVCC?

Kieran:  Just the normal things really; just everyday *life. When you see friends that you can’t… I couldn’t used to say no to certain foods, but now I’ve just got in the mindset. That’s it really, just the mindset.

Matthew:  Well done, perfect. So when you tried *losing weight in the past, was it through nutrition, exercise, or a combination of the two?

Kieran:  Nutrition.

Matthew:  And how did that work out for you?

Kieran:   I *lost quite a lot of weight but then I put it back on. I got injured playing Rugby and then the food, sticking to the food wasn’t enough; I tried to go back to it and I just couldn’t do it again.

Matthew:   So have you done any nutritions before?

Kieran:   Yes, it worked a bit but not as well as like this; this is really good.

Matthew:   What does your lifestyle look like now compared to before you joined the DVCC?

Kieran:   Well I think about what I’m eating a lot more; for breakfast I have a protein shake because I can’t eat breakfast normally, it makes me feel sick. And then chicken, lettuce and greens really for the last 2 meals.

Matthew:   So that’s the biggest lifestyle change for you, the nutrition?

Kieran:   Yes

Matthew:   So how has the DVCC helped you Kieran?

Kieran:   Keeping that routine; having people to email and text if I get stuck. If I don’t know something I just message either you or Greg and I get a reply – just makes *life a lot easier.

Matthew:  Do you have any specific tips with either nutrition or exercise that you can share with anyone who is listening and who is also trying to *lose weight?

Kieran:  Drink a lot of water, definitely. Because it makes it easy, you don’t feel as hungry and you just feel a lot better. You don’t think about, “Oh I’m tired so I need something to eat”. Just water – a lot of it.

Matthew:  Good from you, well done dude. So, any final words from you Kieran, anything you want to say?

Kieran:   Just stick to it; I know it’s hard; you’ve just got to think about what you want to be at the end of however long you stay at the DVCC. Just stick to it.

Matthew:    Brilliant; thank you very much Kieran. I hope you found this interview helpful; I want to thank you for your time. Please comment below with any questions and we’ll get back to you. This is Matthew from the DVCC Northampton; thank you very much.
