Would you consider yourself an emotional or comfort eater?

Don’t worry, you’re certainly not alone and if you would like to make some changes to your nutritional habits, we would love to help you too!

Comfort eating habits can start as far back as when we are babies, so it’s no wonder they are a little harder to manage in adulthood!

But don’t panic, we’ve got a few tactics to help you adapt your eating habits and get your nutrition back on track!

The first thing you need to focus on is your SLEEP!

Poor sleep quality can lead to a negative impact on your emotional health, meaning you are more susceptible to emotions kicking in and dropping that willpower for good decision making.

A quick tip to help improve this is to try to cut out all screen time up to 45 minutes before you head to bed so no phones, laptops and even TVs!

The second step is a more gradual process, but still achievable!

It is changing your mindset to include certain beneficial habits into your day instead of relying on willpower. This makes your daily nutrition far easier to manage and a standard part of your day to day!

To get started on this, try making sure you are drinking at least 2-3 litres of water every day, once you've managed that, try introducing another small habit...pretty soon they add up!
