Today we have a question from James.

James asks, “What is the best time to have a protein shake?”

Great question James, thanks for asking.

The very best time to have a protein shake is after an MLT training session.

The reason for this is because after training your body requires protein to repair the damage to your muscles; this is considered good damage, as when your body repairs and heals itself you will have an elevated caloric burn for up to 72 hours.

Whey protein is quickly digested and will help your body to start the rebuilding process quickly when consumed right after a workout.

A lot of protein shakes have a high amount of sugar, so if you are trying to lose weight, you should avoid shakes with high sugar content.

Luckily for you, we have produced our own blend of protein which is very low sugar and comes in a chocolate or vanilla flavour, so you need not worry about what protein to buy and can carry on building muscle and losing body fat.
