When people want to lose weight, the most common thing they do is reduce food intake or remove certain types of foods from their diet.

Below is a list of some "super foods" that you can add into your diet which have some great health benefits - and will also help you burn body fat! Winning all round!

Avocado

Has been branded an anti-obesity food in recent studies. There has been a lot of research which shows that people who eat more avocados are less likely to store body fat. If you are already eating a low carb, high protein and high fat diet, then adding an avocado into the mix will really help your fat loss results.

Avacodos also contain a high amount of natural fat which will help give you energy when you are eating low carb foods. They are full of antioxidants and nutrients which will help you detoxify and feel on top of the world.

Cocoa

Dark chocolate is good for you... as long as it is consumed in moderation! Cocoa is full of antioxidants and improves insulin signalling, which can help lead to reduced body fat and lessen the likelihood of storing fat.

When choosing a dark chocolate you should choose one which has a low sugar content (less than 10g sugar per 100g) and also 75% or more dark chocolate. Avoid any chocolate with dairy in it, as this will contain a high amount of sugar which stops the antioxidants in the cocoa working properly. Stick to 50g of dark chocolate per day or less.

Eggs

Many people avoid eggs due to outdated research which showed that eating eggs increases your cholesterol levels. This has been proved to be incorrect in more recent studies. Eating 3 eggs a day has been shown to help improve cholesterol levels and it also significantly helps reduce inflammation.

Eggs contain a generous amount of protein (around 6g per egg) and also some good natural fats - this combination makes them a perfect choice for a fat loss breakfast.
